NICE TO MEET YOU!

Visiting a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking! But having an idea of what to expect can help.

From the moment you arrive at The Summit, we want you to feel at home. There are many places you could have chosen to worship on any given Sunday, but you came here and we want your experience with Jesus and The Summit to be impacting and lasting.

Here are a few things that will stand out during your time with us.

WHAT SUNDAYS LOOK LIKE

At The Summit we have a culture of prayer. We encourage people to come early and engage with God and to pray for what will happen in the service. During our pre-service prayer time you’ll experience prayer from our prayer leader in the front as well as times of worship. We invite you to join us and engage in what God is doing.
At 10:00 our main service begins. If you have children from 2 yrs old to grade 6 that would like to attend kids church, it’s best to register at the beginning of service. Near our main entrance you will find iPad’s and volunteers that can help get you checked in. Once you have registered your children, everyone (including your children) can head into the sanctuary for worship. (Nursing Moms, we have a room just for you at the back of the sanctuary that's available to use during the service.)
At The Summit we have a high value for worship, which is why we want everyone to participate. Worship generally lasts about 50 minutes, but it may last longer. We do our best to be responsive to the Holy Spirit and so if we feel that the Holy Spirit is moving in worship, we want to partner with that and not move on too quickly.
Around this time we will transition from worship. During transition a few things happen:
- 5 minute greeting time - This is a great time to meet some new people around you. If you need to use the washroom or would like to grab a drink in our cafe, you can do that as well. This is also the time to take younger children to kids church.
- Dismiss the children - The facilitator will call the children forward to pray for them, and then they are dismissed to go to their classrooms. A teacher will walk with them to their classroom. If your children are in kindergarten or younger, we ask that you would walk them to the back to make sure they make it to class.
- Announcements - Following greeting time a short video will play with announcements about upcoming events
Offering - The facilitator will give a short offering message. Offering is the privilege and responsibility of our church family so please feel no obligation to give.
At the end of every service we will have a team of people available to pray with you.
Also, please make sure to go back to the welcome table to receive your free gift.

Come expecting nothing more, and nothing less, than to encounter God.

Vision of Sunday Nights

“Selah”, in the Psalms, is an invitation to pause, to stop, reflect, and consider the presence and faithfulness of God.

The prayer is that Selah becomes more than a worship gathering. We want the sanctuary to be set aside as a sacred space where people can step away from the noise, slow their pace, and intentionally meet with Jesus.

The night will not be built around production or performance. It’ll be a night of worship, Scripture, prayer, reflection, and quiet surrender. A place to linger in God's presence, listen for His voice, and allow the Holy Spirit to refresh, restore, and transform our hearts.

Whether you're carrying burdens, seeking direction, celebrating God's goodness, or simply longing to be near Him, Selah is an invitation to pause and remember that His presence is enough.
