Our ideal volunteer is someone who can provide a warm genuine smile, great eye contact and a friendly greeting. Help connect first time visitors to the welcome area. This role is the welcoming face for the Summit Church.

In kids ministry we have a wide range of volunteer opportunities!

Classroom set up begins at 9am and is done by 10:00am the responsibilities include putting out game, lesson supplies and prepping snack. 

Check-in begins at 9am-10:10 am, volunteers  are stationed at the check-in desk registering new families and assisting with check-in on the iPad. 

Our teacher role begins after worship, we have 1 teacher in each of our classrooms that is supported by at least 1 helper. The teacher will recieve lesson plans printed that include a craft, activity or both prepared for them! 

Classroom helper begins after worship and supports the teacher mostly with encouraging the kids participate, contacting parents when necessary, handing out snacks and supplies.

Someone who thrives on the livestream video team is creative, attentive, and deeply aware that what they capture can help people encounter God far beyond the walls of the church. When we stay rooted in His presence and not focused on production, we’re able to naturally capture what God is doing in the room and invite people from all across the world into those moments of worship, teaching, and community.

Knowing that the Lord is doing amazing things even through livestream, we get testimonies each week about people getting healed and set free just by way of livestream. God is so good and it's a pleasure to partner with Him this way.

The volunteer that would thrive in this field would be kind, welcoming, and have a great smile. They should possess strong directional knowledge, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

The role also involves working closely with neighbouring businesses, being comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, and helping create a positive experience for visitors and guests.

One of the best things about being on the parking team is being the first face people see while helping satisfy the parking needs of elderly individuals and new families. We also get to build positive relationships with neighbouring businesses and work alongside by-law officers.

Scheduling is flexible. If you like being outside this is the place to be.

Someone who thrives in the ProPresenter role is not only technical, but also flexible and calm when things change unexpectedly. A great ProPresenter volunteer can confidently follow along with the service plan while also adapting quickly in spontaneous moments. Whether that’s finding a song the worship team suddenly starts singing or adjusting on the fly to support what God is doing in the room.

It is a privilege to help others in the room to step into worship and help bring unity in the room by guiding them by simply putting the words on the screen. It's a form of worship to partner with God in this way.

Our admin team leads with a joyful, servant-hearted mindset to facilitate revival, and genuinely enjoys caring for others behind the scenes. They are attentive, proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in wherever needed with a calm, flexible, and positive attitude. They are responsible, communicate well, and understand that even small, unseen tasks contribute to creating a space for everyone to encounter God.

Serving on the admin team allows you to make a real, visible impact without being the center of attention. Every detail you handle helps our team of Sunday volunteers and church staff execute their role with excellence, supports the flow of service, and gives attendees a positive experience. Serving here is rewarding because your contribution truly matters, and you’re part of something bigger than yourself where humility, teamwork, and purpose come together.

Volunteers on the admin team would need to arrive by 8:30am/8:45am in order to help prepare for Sunday service.

We are looking for creatives with at least beginner-level camera experience. They are a team player, have a positive attitude and they love capturing moments and community. They also have an eye for aesthetics/detail.

One of the best parts of serving on this team is the you get to capture meaningful moments, working alongside other creative people. You are a part of something impactful behind the scenes.

Someone who thrives on the sound team is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and passionate about helping create distraction-free environments where people can fully engage in worship and teaching. The A/V team's motto is presence over production. We understand that while excellence matters, the heart of the role is serving people well, staying teachable, and helping point attention toward Jesus rather than the technology behind the scenes.

The sound team is a great place to serve because you get to be part of creating meaningful moments every single week while growing in both technical skill and spiritual impact. It’s a team built on collaboration, trust, and presence over production where people support one another, learn together, and serve with the shared goal of helping others encounter Jesus without distraction.

Our ideal volunteer is someone who enjoys meeting new people and helping them find their way. Being a calm, straightforward, proactive and details oriented personality easily fits in this role perfectly.

It is a wonderful way to meet new people and connect to the Summit Family with no expectations. The only skill needed is the ability to smile and willingness to treat everyone with openness and respect.. We are blessed to act as the tip of the spear in how newcomers encounter the Summit Church and Father God.

An ideal volunteer for this area is someone who is outgoing and who enjoys welcoming new people to The Summit. They love giving gifts, connecting & encouraging new people to find ministries on the website. Also a person who is knowledgeable in the Bible and willing to look up scripture on their phone to get exact words to bless new people in a card. They have a willingness to show God’s love by possibly praying for people too.

This is a way to bless & serve as a lover of Christ’s body. Working together for his love to shine through us all. You will also get to know the faithful people who attend regularly. You will get to fellowship with team members and grow in the Lord together. We also have get together with our team twice a year to share our experiences on the team & to celebrate all that God is doing through is and in us.

We will serve together to see you thrive in this area.

Volunteers who thrive in this role are relational, dependable, and passionate about creating a safe space where students can grow in their faith and experience the love of Jesus.

Youth is a fun, connection-based environment where volunteers build meaningful relationships and make a lasting impact in students’ lives.

Youth volunteers serve Friday evenings from September–June, with occasional Fridays off throughout the year and breaks during holidays.

**Because Youth ministry involves direct mentorship and care for students, all potential volunteers will meet with the Youth Directors prior to placement to ensure a healthy fit for the role**
